Select the accounts you'd like to open online.

Pick the accounts you'd like to open from the drop-down menu in the gray box at the top of this page or by clicking here. Once you've done so, we'll walk you through the steps you need to open your accounts and sign up for umpqua.online banking (it's free!) and billpay.
Log in to your online banking & enable online billpay

During the account opening process, you'll be asked to select a temporary password for your online banking. You'll later receive an email from us with your online banking login ID. Once you receive that email, log in to your online banking here or on our website homepage.

Once you've logged in to online banking, click on the “pay bills” link to sign up for billpay. Online banking comes with 15 free billpayments per month. (Each additional payment is only $0.40; for the record, our customers' average number of bill payments per month is eight.)
Transfer your billpay records, automatically, online.

Check to make sure the bank you're switching from is one of our qualifying billpay e-switch banks. Then click on the "Transfer Your Online Billpay to Umpqua" link listed on the "Other Services" page in online banking. Follow the directions to bring over your billpay records and we’ll get to work behind the scenes! (If your bank isn't a qualifying bank, follow the first three steps above. Then, within umpqua.online banking, enter payees and scheduled payments from your previous bank's online banking system.)
